WOW – Weidmüller on Wednesday

WOW last week was a very tiring one for everyone in the Industrial Automation World with the world famous Hanover Fair taking place in Germany.

The foundation for any business is innovation and at Hanover last week there was an abundance of innovation to be seen; not only on the Weidmüller stand but all around the halls. It’s “fun to create something nobody has seen before”. Not only does Hollywood director Roland Emmerich agree, so do we at Weidmüller.

We’re itching to come up with new ideas for our customers. We do not only want to offer high-tech products and solutions; we want to anticipate, to lead the way, to enthuse and shape the future as much as we can; and because of this we want to set new standards in social interaction within our teams, and also the youth of today who will be our future engineers, designers and scientists. Shaping the future needs young innovators.

Every year Weidmüller accompanies more than 200 apprentices and young talents throughout the world on their way into working life.

More than 3,000 pupils worldwide gain an insight into the working world of Weidmüller.

Since the beginning of 2011, more than 3,500 employees have got involve din our Idea Management Programme (IDM) worldwide.

About one third of them have seized the opportunity to use their ideas to generate a benefit of nearly 1,000,000 Euros.

Our sales growth thanks to innovations and performance  compared to 2009: +55%
