Our new RJ45 plug-in connectors for up to 10 Gbit/s which can be assembled on-site

We are offering new RJ45 plug-in connectors, which can be assembled on-site, for transmission speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s.

The new and compact RJ45 plug-in connectors, with straight or angled cable routing, allow users to create outlets in four different directions. Without using any special tools, users connect the plug-in connector in only around one minute, with a triple piercing contact to guarantee secure contacting.

Nowadays, systems are increasingly being decentralised – a development which requires cabinet sizes to become ever smaller. Requirements are also growing in terms of data transmission speed. Then there’s the fact that people are needing to route cables in tighter and tighter spaces too. Often, all of this results in bent or broken cables, which causes lower transmission performance, data loss or system downtimes.

The new RJ45 plug-in connectors from Weidmüller provide an ideal solution to these problems, since cables can be routed either straight or at an angle in four different directions (up/down and right/left). The new plugs can be simply and quickly assembled on-site – at the impressive speed of around one minute – and without the need for any special tools.

Weidmuller have enhanced their u-remote IP20 remote I/O fieldbus coupler portfolio to incorporate POWERLINK.

u-remote is one of the first third-party products to allow complete integration in the latest version of the B&R Automation Studio. The modularly designed u-remote I/O system with POWERLINK interface connection is detailed using modular XDD files, meaning it can be incorporated easily in the engineering environment. When it comes to integrating machines and system parts into complex production lines, users can benefit from u-remote’s high migration and diagnostic capabilities.

Increasingly specific customer demands require solutions for a flexible, individually adjustable fieldbus architecture that is also fast and straightforward to implement. The new u-remote fieldbus coupler from Weidmüller supports the POWERLINK Industrial Ethernet standard and its convenient handling ensures straightforward installation, whilst the extensive diagnostic functions help to optimise and speed up processes. A web server integrated in the fieldbus coupler enables system diagnostics to be carried out even before connecting to the control unit. Thanks to its certification from the user organisation EPSG, u-remote is fully compatible with POWERLINK version 2.

The new u-remote POWERLINK fieldbus couplers powerful web server allows users to parameterise and simulate the functionality of inputs and outputs without having to connect a control unit for the diagnostics. In addition, u-remote’s power supply for inputs and outputs is separated into two 10 A current paths (the feed-in current for input and output modules is max. 10 A for each). The I/O modules thus guarantee flexible planning and distribution without the need for extra power.

The integrated web server also facilitates phased commissioning operations and speeds up maintenance work. Whether it’s for remote diagnostics or the local simulation of inputs as well as forcing outputs, u-remote requires no special software, just a standard Internet browser.

The new POWERLINK fieldbus coupler enhances the Weidmüller fieldbus coupler portfolio for PROFIBUS-DP, PROFINET, EtherCAT, Modbus-TCP, EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet and CANopen. u-remote fieldbus couplers allow users to respond to individual market demands: the system simply migrates from one fieldbus to another when the coupler is exchanged. That means, depending on customer requirements, the requisite fieldbus coupler is simply placed in front of the u-remote station and thus provides flexible solutions for a wide variety of environments.

Weidmüller Industrial Light (WIL) – one 8-mm flush LED light for a range of applications. The light is connected using an M12 plug-in connector.

WIL STANDARD is a new LED light offered by Weidmüller that is suitable for a range of applications and impresses on both a technical and design level. The LED light incorporates three rows of LEDs (3 x 14 LEDs) arranged in a trapezium shape at 20-degree angles, allowing for an ultra-wide beam angle and a broad illuminated area. This design means users do not have to rotate the light to illuminate specific areas or even change the direction. Weidmüller WIL LED lights offer high performance at low consumption. IP67 protection enables installation in a range of applications. The light is connected using an M12 plug-in connector. The operating voltage is 24 V DC with a maximum current of 430 mA. The very bright light has a light colour of 6500 K – roughly equivalent to daylight and therefore acceptable to the eye.

The new LED industrial light is very flush at just 8 mm and produces a white, very bright, non-dazzling light. The extremely flat construction offers users a range of installation options either in the control cabinet or the field, i.e. directly on or in the machine. In the control cabinet, the LED light can either be fitted concealed behind a folded edge or simply on the side panel. The LED lamp with a high IP67 degree of protection has been specially designed for installation in the field. With just one WIL STANDARD LED light, Weidmüller can therefore cover a range of applications in the control cabinet or the field.

Thanks to the fixing holes in the light, installation is simple and direct, with no need for any additional fitting materials such as clips or similar. Spaced 225 mm apart and with a diameter of 6.5 mm, the fixing holes ensure simplified installation in conventional control cabinets. To make installation easier, the LED light has pre-assembled M12 connections with a 30-cm long prefabricated cable, so no individual cables or wires need to be connected. Thanks to the M12 plug-in connector, the new Weidmüller light can be cascaded with multiple lights connected in parallel. A matching M12 T-piece is also available from Weidmüller. Because of the low current consumption, users also have the option of connecting the LED light directly to the 0.5-A standard output of a PLC. With a 2-A PLC output module, four lights can also be connected in parallel.

With a height of just 8 mm, the Weidmüller LED light is very flush, and measures 240 mm in length and 40 mm in width. The LED light is designed for industrial requirements with a high light intensity (200 lux) and luminous flux (1,880 lm) and not for high-volume external applications. Its service life is at least 10,000 hours. The illuminated area is completely encapsulated, making the LED light ideal for harsh industrial environments. PUR is used as the casting material. All enclosures are made from a hard-anodised aluminium extruded profile with matt nickel-plated and chrome-plated zinc diecast caps. Based on the industrial development approach, the new WIL does not require an air-sealed area, so there is no inspection glass which can break. This design makes the LED light extremely robust. It also emits very little heat, so coolants and lubricants do not overheat.

LED lights for industrial purposes can be used anywhere where constant, defined light is required for illuminating control cabinets or machines. Light not only affects work quality and satisfaction, it also has an impact on safety. Compared to traditional lights, LEDs have a longer service life, reduced maintenance costs and less energy consumption. They are more robust, are often resistant to jolts and vibrations and are more compact, thus improving lighting even confined spaces, plus their brightness is available in full immediately.
